Lace happy birthday

I recently purchased some lace. Have thought about putting lace on my cards for a long time and have finally done it. The lace gives such a sweet, delicate feel to a card and I'm happy with this one. Many to come. Items used: Hero Arts stamp, lace, dotted ribbon and pearls.

Sweet little Bamboo girl

I have been so lucky lately - found this Hero Arts bamboo stamp for $4. I have always wanted this stamp, however never seemed to run into it at the craft stores I frequent. And, viola!! I found it and at an unbelievable price. I better go get a PowerBall ticket, this could be my lucky day :) Items used: Hero Arts 3 Japanese dolls and decorative bamboo stamps, ribbon, gems and DP.

A day sprinkled w/ fun

One of my co-workers has asked me to make her 6 birthday cards. Here's the first one! Items used: Hero Arts scallop circle, dots & flowres and cupcakes stamps, ribbon, gems and glitter.

I'd pick you

I made this card for the Hero Arts challenge this week "mailit". I am going to send this to my cousin, MaryAnn. MaryAnn is one of my favorite people. She has always been an inspiration to me because she has such a positive outlook on life and never has a bad word for anyone. We have always been friends and although we now live far away from each other, we always stay in touch :)
Items used: Hero Arts Thoughtful messages and scallop circle stamps, Stampendous hand of Friendship stamps, ribbon, gems and DP.

Alaric follow-up

We picked up Alaric's ashes yesterday. We are going to spread his ashes on our property. Mike would spend hours training him w/ barn pigeons on our property and Alaric spent a very happy, long life here. Our dog, Pearl knows he's missing. They spent all of their time together, running in the fields, chasing rabbits and barking at the wind. Every morning when I would put them out, Pearl would run out first, but always stop and look back for her buddy, Alaric. Time will pass and we will all move on, however we will miss our sweet boy :(

Our Alaric

We are going to send our lovely boy Alaric to heaven today at 3:00 pm. Alaric is 14 years old and it's time. Alaric is a Large Munsterlander, a versatile hunting dog. From the time he was just a few weeks old it was easy to see hunting was in his genes. We would put a bird feather on the end of a fishing line and his little puppiness would point. My husband hunted pheasant, chuckers, quail, you name it w/ Alaric for many years and he always did his job in the field. He's a lovely dog and we will miss him terribly. Alaric xoxo

Love my new Hero Arts Dots & Flowers Background stamp :)

Made this card for this week's Hero Arts Challenge "sneakyinspiration", check out the Hero Arts Blog. This card was inspired by Lisa's lovely light blue and yellow card made with the new HA cling stamp, thank you.

Last month I placed 2nd in one of the Hero Arts challenges and used my winnings to purchase the HA S6213 Dots and Flowers background stamp used here. It's such a lovely stamp w/ so many possibilities, can't wait to ink it up and create some more cards. Items used: HA S6213 and CL184 thoughful messages stamps, ribbon, glitter gems.

Orange you Sweet!!

I saw a card made by Jenn Biederman on her blog "Created by JB" and was inspired to make this card. The minute I saw Jenn's card I knew this was the stamp (set) I have been looking for. I have wanted some citrus fruit stamps for awhile, but just couldn't seem to find one that struck my fancy, well Purple Onion Designs had it and here it is. Michelle at Purple Onion Designs put my stamps in the mail right away and I can't say enough about the service and wonderful stamps this company has. Pucker Up!!

New Penny Black Stamp....

New stamp for me - Penny Black flower stamp. Made these 2 cards using this stamp and am happy w/ them, hope you like them too.

Little Tags

I made these tags for the Hero Arts challenge last week, however made them too late to submit to the challenge. I had won some card stock cut into little tags at a Stampin' Up catalogue rlease party a while back and have put them to use here. Lately I have been making card packages w/ 3 or 4 cards, inserting them into a cellophane bag, tying the bag w/ pretty ribbon and attaching a tag. These card packages make nice little presents; many more tags to come :) Items used: Hero Arts CL184 thoughtful messages and CL272 all occasion messages, Inkadinkadoo bird stamp, ribbon, jute twine, eyelet and button.
