Happy Birthday Bicycle

Nina B Designs is presenting a sketch challenge over at the Lily Pad Cards blog. (I'm sorry I have not attached the links, for some reason I cannot copy the shortcuts). The prize for this challenge is fabulous, $50 of Nina B Designs stamps, you must check it out and get a card in for a chance to win. Here's the sketch for the challenge: And here's my card: The bicycle stamp with the little bird on the side is made by a stamp company in Washington state (cannot read the company name). I have also used Basic Grey paper, handmade checked paper, rickrack ribbon, watercolor pencils, twine and pearls.

Halloween Pup

This week's "clean and simple" challenge #25 at Casual Fridays is to "add color" to your card. Well, we all know Halloween is a colorful Holiday, so it was easy to make this cute pup card with lots of color for the challenge: Items used: Penny Black Pup and Pumpkin stamp, G Halloween stamp and watercolor pencils.

Angus tried on his Halloween costume today, yes, that's him the Devil Dog. I tried to get a photo of Angus and Pearl (she has a costume too) but Pearl was not in the mood. I'll try again tomorrow.

Just call me Ms. Witchy girl

I love this little owl witch from Hero Arts; I make Halloween cards with her every year. Here's another Halloween card (did I ever mention that Halloween is one of my fav Holidays?). I love to dress up, I have a good one planned this year, I'll take a pic and post it, stay tuned :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is such a nice holiday. Not only for the get together with friends and family and the wonderful Turkey, stuffing and "oh just pull up to the trough" but for the meaning of the holiday Giving Thanks. I made this card for my cousin who I will not see this year for Thanksgiving, but I give thanks every day for her.

Lily Pad - Kathy's Color Palette

I made this card for the Tiffany Doodles Kathy's color palatte challenge over at the Lily Pad blog. If you have never checked this blog out, you must head over there right now, it's one of my favs :) The challenge is to use this color palette to make your project: I made this card with one of my fav Tim Holtze stamps:

Blog challenge 28 over at My Mind's Eye is to make a card using this sketch:
I used My Mind's eye wonderful Stella Rose papers for my card. The stamps are from Memory Box and Hero Arts, there's a little twine, some brads and Viola!

Case Study 60

The challenge this week over at Case Study is to case this lovely card by Niki Estes: I took my inspiration from the card design and colors, here's my card:

A Big Smile :)

As mentioned in my previous post, both the Play Date Cafe and Casual Fridays are sponsoring a huge blog hop for "Operation Julie's Smile", check it out. I made this card for the Casual Fridays' challenge this week, this pretty victorian lady could use a little smile, don't you think :) I used one of the many wonderful images from the Graphics Fairy blog. Items used: Graphics Fairy image, gems, stickles, watercolor pencils, ribbon, punch and DP.

PDCC #`102

The challenge at the Play Date Cafe this week uses such wonderful, Halloween colors, see: and I broke out one of my favorite Halloween stamps, witchy shoes. I break this stamp out every year and make a birthday card for my friend, Therese, who just happens to have her birthday on Halloween. Isn't this card fun :) Items used: Stampendous witch shoes stamp, gems, DP, sparkly gems, stickles, ribbon, tule and watercolor pencils.

Bird of Autumn

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp air and the beautiful changing of the leaves. The colors of Autumn are among my favorites and I find it easy to make a card with the warm, earth tones of Autumn. Dream, dream, and dream some more....

The colors for this week's challenge over at the Play Date Cafe are wine, leather, smudge and parchment. I'm not too sure what color "smudge" is, but I took it to be black; here's what I came up with: I love the 2 design papers used for this card, the poppies are from Graphic's 45 and the parchment is from Imaginise. Other items used are twine, gems and a little gold leaf. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.
