Spread Sunshine

I made this card for the challenge over at Less is More, How Charming! Had to mimic a charm with this pretty Stampin' Up brad as I didn't have any actual charms in my craft supplies. I was so taken by Chrissie's card with the Cuttlebugged flowers and leaves that I went right out to my yard and created the background circle on my card the same way.
Items used: Inkadinkadoo bird stamp, Hero Arts sentiment stamp, SU brad, flowers and leaves and my Cuttlebug.

Bright Butterfly

I watched a video by Chari Moss on A Blog Named Hero the other day about coloring with distress inks. Well, I love distress inks and have quite a few, so I gave it a try. Here's what happened:
It just so happens this card fits the criteria for 2 challenges this week The Play Date Cafe and Moxie Fab World Tueday Trigger. Items used: Distress Inks, Blockhead sentiment stamp and Hero Arts butterfly stamp, pearls.

First challenge at a Blog named Hero

I must admit, I like challenge blogs; they put my mind to work and get me outside my little box of creativity :) Well, there's a new challenge blog on the block called A Blog Named Hero. The goal is to have participants use Hero Arts stamps, papers, etc. I have many Hero Arts stamps, so I'll be visiting and participating in challenges at this blog often. The first challenge is to use your "favorite" Hero Arts stamp. Now, that isn't so easy as I have many favorite stamps; I chose to use this HA cling stencil flower stamp for the challenge as it is one of my favorites:
Now, head on over and check out this new challenge blog :)

Three shades of green

For this week's color challenge at Less is More we are to use 3 shades of green. Green just happens to be my favorite color, so I jumped right in and here's what I came up with:
I used 2 Memory box stamps, a MS die cut, little pearls, 2 shades of green ink and a yellow-green water color pencil :)
