Inkspirational Challenge #72

I am giving this card to my friend, Terri.  We are meeting for Christmas lunch tomorrow and instead of a Christmas card, I made this card for her.  You see, Terri is a Princess.  Her cell phone cover reads:

WE CAN'T ALL BE PRINCESSES, SOMEONE HAS TO CLAP AS WE WALK BY!

Because of the shinny purple background and the shinny crown and wand I am also entering this card in the challenge at Inkspirational this week; here's the inspiration photo:

Glad you stopped by today, you're laughing aren't you :)

Just Us Girls #273

I'm submitting this card to the Just Us Girls challenge this week.  I love PINK!  Even have a Pink Pinterest board :)  The beautiful bedroom photo below is the inspiration for the challenge this week; I like this bedroom, don't think Mike would go for it though :)

Thanks for stopping by today, still cold and snowy here,
I like that during this season :)

Blank card for Any Occasion

I made this card for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  The butterfly was in my basket of stamped images I colored to be used some time in the future; looks like the future is now :)

Inspiration comes easily to me when I'm working with a sketch like the nice one below for this week's challenge;
So glad you stopped by, Happy Halloween tomorrow - - Boo!!

Smiles across the miles

I made this card with 2 things in mind - I'm submitting it to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Mama Elephant & Me blog and I'm going to send it to my friend Jeannie, who lives on the other side of the country.  I just love the Mama Elephant stamps and dies, this little critter with her umbrella is just so sweet!

So glad you stopped by, Smile big :)

Polka Dot Shoes

A new stamp, isn't it something?  I made this card for the challenge over at the Fusion Challenge. I used the photo side of the challenge for my card as the stamp has this big daisy.  I love red shoes and would love to have a pair of red polka-dot shoes, yes I would.  No heels though, me and "high" heels just don't work well together :)

So glad you stopped by today!

Glad you stopped by today, it's raining and cold today here in the foothills.  Stay warm :)

Focus on the Sentiment

WON SPOTLIGHT ARTIST AT THE CITY CRAFTER CHALLENGE BLOG!

The challenge this week at the City Crafter challenge blog is to make a card focused on the word(s). I chose this sentiment because it's one of my favorites and for some reason birds come to mind when I read it, so I added some feathers.  I thought the photo City Crafter chose for the challenge was so pretty, I chose to use the orange and yellow-orange colors too:

Glad you stopped by today, wishing you a song in your heart :)

Card Concept - Color Challenge

Spread Happiness wherever you go :)

An amazing Red Fox, how's that for a little something different?  I made this card for 2 challenges, the diagonal challenge at the City Crafter challenge blog and the Foxy Foxes challenge at Moxie Fab World.

I finally purchased some sequins and added those to my card for some "amazing" sparkle.

Glad you stopped by today, enjoy this wonderful Autumn weather!

Poppy Sketch #11

I have recently found another card challenge site called Poppy Sketches.  I think I've said this before, sketch challenges are my favorite and this challenge not only gives a sketch, but some colors to inspire us.  I made the following card for this week's Poppy sketch #11:

Here is the sketch and color combo we were asked to used:

Apologies for the dark photo of my card, just couldn't seem to get the photo brighter today.  The poppies on my card are a Whipper Snapper stamp; great stamps I really like them.

Glad you stopped by today.  Enjoy the Summer flowers,
the Autumn flowers will be here soon :)

Cutting Edge #8

I've been very into die cutting these days and the Cutting Edge challenges are just that, die cuts.  I made this card for this week's challenge #8, unfortunately I was too late to submit to the challenge :(:

Here is the inspiration card by Kay Miller:

The large scallop frame & the stitched frame are Mama Elephant dies.  All other die cuts on my card were sent to me by a stamping friend in Australia and the sentiment is a Memory Box stamp.

So glad you stopped by, pretty flowers always make my day :)

Be inspired.....

This week's challenge at The Card Concept is to be inspired by this photo:

The leafy pattern on the bed spread is what immediately caught my eye and I was inspired to use a large tree stamp I've had for some time and have never used, here's my card:

The tree stamp is from Holly Berry House, you must check this company out, such a gem, and the cards and examples at the store in Colorado City, CO are amazing.  The Just because stamp is from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by today, trees are such a beautiful wonder.
My Dad loved trees and had favorites he would point out to us on drives around town :)

Life's Sweet

This week at the Less Is More challenge blog we have been given a sketch to get our creative juices flowing.  I do have trouble with CAS cards, at least I think I do, but I'm pretty happy with the card I made for this challenge:

Case Study 4th Anniversary - Week 4

This is week 3 of the 4th anniversary bog hop over at Case Study!  This week I cased a fabulous card by Erin, here's my card:

and here's Erin's card:

I took my inspiration from the design and the hearts on Erin's card.  I thought I had some wooden hearts but I didn't, so I chose to give my card a love theme and used the little wooden people I had in my stash.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Autumn is in the air (my favorite season).

Colorful Fusion....

This week at the Fusion Card Challenge both the colors of the image and the sketch caught my eye.  I combined both into a colorful card; and instead of flowers I chose to add a colorful Cupcake to my card.  I added a little diamond glaze to the cupcake for some pop!

Here's the Fusion inspiration combination:

When I think about it, I haven't made cupcakes in a very long time.  I think I'll add that to my agenda today.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a bright and cheerful day!

This week's challenge is to create a project inspired by one of the cards shared by the blog hop participants, I created my card from a simple, pretty card made by Keisha Campbell, here's my card:

and here is Keisha's pretty card I took my inspiration from:

The sweet image on my card is called "Bud's Girl" by Mo Manning, and when I saw the challenge at Case this Sketch I knew this was the stamp I wanted to use (sketch is shown after my card).  Case this Sketch is teaming up with Tag Your It! for this challenge; I'm so happy about this because I now have another challenge blog to check out

As promised, here's the sketch:
