Inkspirational Woman

This fabulous and flamboyant woman is one of my favorite stamps and I knew she was perfect for this week's challenge at  Inkspirational Challenges, image of a woman.

Watercolor pencils (what else?) were used for her dress, scarf and make-up.  Her skin is done with my only Copic maker that I always use for skin color.

Happy you are visiting my blog today, put on some sparkle and shine!

LIM - One Layer Card

This week's challenge at Less Is More is to make a one-layer card with animals.  I'm still challenged by one-layer cards, but I took out a new stamp and went for it.

Sarah told me about the CAS challenges over at AAA Cards; I'm going to submit my "goofy" card to this nice challenge too :)

I used chalks (yes chalks) to make the sun on my card.  I haven't used chalks in years, but after trying 5 different times to make a sun using inks, I switched to chalk and viola! a Sun is born :)

Happy you stopped by today, and it's true -

You're never too Old to do Goofy things :)

A Heartfelt Thank You.....

On February 8th my sister and best friend, Cynthia passed away.  Cynthia was a beautiful woman and very unique in her own way.  She was loved by many friends and family and is missed terribly.  It's taken some time but I'm doing much better and wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of my stamping friends from around the world who sent me lovely cards and warm thoughts.  You are truly the best there is.  Thank you xoxo

Happy Birthday Michelle

I made this March birthday card for my close friend Michelle.  We met a long time ago and became roommates and friends in no time at all.  We've been friends for over 30 years now and I cherish our friendship with all my heart.  I chose this image by Mo Manning for her card because it evokes the happiness we share each time we are together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHELLE XOXO

Card Concept 30

The challenge over at The Card Concept this week is inspired by this pretty bouquet of flowers:

I chose to make a layerd card for the challenge using a tag, a pretty new stamp from Lockhart and sentiment stamp from Memory Box.

Glad you stopped by on this beautiful Sunday - Spring is in the air :)

You bring out the best in me :)

I made this card for the Wednesday sketch challenge at the My Favorite Things blog and the Wednesday challenge over at Simon Says - special lady / girly.  I love this cute little MFT stamp image, the dog is so sweet and the girl is a cutie-pie.

So glad you stopped by, hope you're enjoying your Sunday :)

This makes me Happy!

This week's challenge at Less Is More is "This makes me happy".  I am always happy spending time with my animals; I have 2 dogs (Angus & Gracy) and 1 cat (Boo).  I have had dogs all my life and cannot imagine a life without them.  And, cats, well a cat came later in life and I discovered I love the little buggers just as much as dogs :)

Glad you stopped by today, if you have an animal give them a big hug.

They do make our lives so happy!

Poppies again & again

Wednesday's challenge over at the Simon Says challenge blog is Anything Goes.  I took inspiration for my card from a donut card I saw at Dees Art Utopia, check it out.  If you have visited my blog in the past, you know I love poppies, can't get enough of them, so here's another poppy creation.

Thanks for stopping by today, keep warm

Case This Sketch #112

I love the floral papers in this little paper stack I won from Kathy at the Daily Marker and when I saw this week's sketch at Case This Sketch I decided right away to use flowers and smiles for my card.

Here is the sketch we were given this week:

So glad you stopped by today.  Keep Smiling!
