Muse 163

I made this card for the Muse Card Club.  The flourish leaves are actually a shiny silver; I must get better at photographing my cards.  Both the leaves and flowers are My Favorite Things dies and this is the first time I have used the leaves, first of many I'm sure.

We were given this beautiful card by Jenni Murray to inspire us and inspire me it did:

So happy you stopped by, have a restful evening :)

Ickie Sickie....

This robe and these adorable little bunny slippers are from Pink Ink; so is the sentiment :)  When I saw these bunny slippers I had to have them, now I want a pair to wear too.  I picked all 3 stamps up from my favorite craft store yesterday, they were a hot item back March when I ordered them and I had to wait for them to come in.  I was so happy when the store called, my friend and I waited for Saturday and headed down.

I am submitting this card to the challenge at Case This Sketch.  I took some liberty with the sketch design and a card was born.  Here's the sketch:

Happy Sunday to you and yours :)

Make a Wish.....

I made this card for the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  I love this colorful plaid paper, it says summer to me.  Haven't seen a butterfly yet, but I know they're coming and I can't wait for their arrival.  Butterflies are one of nature's beautiful creations, aren't they :)

Here is the sketch we were given for inspiration:

So happy you stopped by today.
The lilac bushes have pretty green leaves, flowers coming soon :)

Muse #162

I recently got some new dies and when I saw the challenge over at the Muse Card Club this week, I knew this card was what I wanted to create.

Here is the pretty Muse card by Tracey McNeely we were given for inspiration this week:

We have some beautiful Spring weather today.  The grasses are green, the trees are budding and I hope to see some Lilacs soon.  Thanks for stopping by today :)

Hibiscus Circle

I have had this Hibiscus Circle stamp from Stamping Bella for some time now; not sure I've used it much.  I came across it while re-organizing my stamps the other day and thought it was perfect for 2 challenges this week.
Just Us Girls - Color week
and
THEME one ... we'd like you to use 3 STAMPS
This could be 3 individual stamps or the same 3 stamps used multiple times.

So glad you stopped by today, still snowing here.  Spring in the Rockies :)

Muse Challenge 161

I made this card for the Muse Card Club challenge 161.  I made the "smooshed" background by putting orange, yellow and hot pink Zig clean color makers on a acrylic block, spraying with a lot of water and swooching my piece of paper around on the mix of colors.

The card given for inspiration over at the challenge is this beauty created by Anita Bowden:

Thanks for stopping by.
We are having an April blizzard here on the front range.  It is snowing like crazy today.
Well, this is Springtime in the Rockies :)

Amazing!

Springtime is a card-makers dream as far as I'm concerned.  Sprouts and flowers are blooming and there are so many choices to make pretty cards.  I made this card for the challenge over at Case This Sketch this week, here's the sketch:

Happy you stopped by, hope you're enjoying the sun in your neighborhood :)

Muse 160

I made this card for the Muse Card Club #160 challenge.  I love this pretty, lacy paper from Authentique and think it makes the perfect background for one of my favorite butterfly stamps.

Here is the pretty Muse card from Michele Ferguson:

Glad you stopped by today.  We should be seeing butterflies soon, isn't that wonderful :)

Magical birthday wishes

This ballerina die cut from Memory Box is one of my favorite dies, she is so delicate and I like to cut pretty paper dresses when making cards with her.

This week at Inkspirational Challenges we were given the photo below for inspiration.  I took my inspiration from the colors and the outstretched legs of the people under the yellow umbrella:
The sentiment inside the card is "Magical Birthday Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm enjoying the perfect Spring weather today :)

Muse 159

Hi There - I made this card for the Muse Challenge 159.  The stamp set is called "What I Love" from Stampin' Up and the sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.  I am finally feeling comfortable with this 3-stamp layering idea and am happy with the way the flowers turned out.

Here is the Muse card for inspiration this week by Jenni Murray:

I love the shading of Jenni's poppies on this card and took inspiration from the flowers and the black border.

So glad you stopped by today.  It's a lovely Spring day in the Rockies :)
