Beary Cute Birthday

The sketch at the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge is a 3X4 grid (see below).  I put my card stock on top of a piece of paper and measured boxes so I could follow the grid design for my card.  The large bear covers 2 boxes on the right side of the card.

This little Bear Birthday set from My Favorite Things is adorable and I was so happy I could use many of the stamps in the set on my card.  I used both Zig markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the images.

Here's the sketch:

So happy you stopped by today.
Wishing you and yours a Very Happy New Year

Ahh!! Coffee

I made this card with some new items: Stampendous House Mouse - Warm cup stamp and My Favorite Things - stitched scallop border.  I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils to color and created the sentiment on my laptop.

Will be entering my card in this week's challenge at Simon Says Wednesday challenge blog.

So happy you stopped by today.
Happy New Year 2018!

Pretty in Lavender

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was so spot on for this little Gorjuss Girl; she fit perfectly into the sketch design.  I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils to add color to the image and a sentiment from Penny Black.  Some shiny dots for a little bling and my card was finished.

Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Cupcake Girl

The challenge at Cupcake Inspirations this week is a pretty chocolate cupcake with a candy cane "North Pole".  This image from Mo Manning is a gem and when I saw the challenge I knew the cupcake girl would fit in perfectly.  I took my inspiration from the chocolate cupcakes and the red & white candy cane.

Here's the cupcake:

So happy you stopped by today.
Hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas!

Muse challenge #247

My card is made for this week's challenge at the Muse Card Club.  Kim Heggins provided the pretty Muse card.  Since I am done, and I mean DONE, with all of my Christmas cards I chose not to make another one.  My inspiration from Kim's card came from the card layout.  I used the design paper on the left side, an animal image jutting to the top right and the sentiment in the lower left corner.

Here's Kim's card:

So happy you stopped by today.  Merry Christmas to you and yours!

A beautiful day in Colorado

I went to my favorite craft store "Simple Pleasures" in Colorado Springs today.  While driving home I saw 3 buffalo a little South of my home and a field of deer on the corner of my street.  I Love where I live.

Here are some photos:

Dance the night away!

I found this little Hero Arts wood block dress stamp in a 2nd hand store at the bottom of a bowl filled with older stamps.  What a find, it's adorable and believe it or not only cost $1.00.  I used distress oxide inks to make the background (love these inks).  I added Stickles to the dress and the sequins and created the sentiment on my laptop.

My card will be entered into these 2 challenges:

Our story is my favorite

I made this card for the sketch challenge this week at the Inky Paws challenge blog. This is one of my favorite stamp sets; Newton's Nook has many adorable sets.  I wanted to make a colorful card and this design paper I had in my drawer fit the ticket.  I colored the image with my Zig markers on watercolor paper and added the heart button with some hemp twine.

So happy you stopped by today.  A beautiful day it is here in the Rockies :)

Thanks in Roses

I made this card using a new stamp set from Stampin' Up called Floral Statements; such a pretty stamp set the other stamp says Hello.  I colored the image using the colors from this week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations which is white, light blue and black.  O.k. so green got in there to, but I wanted to use this new stamp and green was necessary,  I colored the image with Artist Loft watercolor pencils, added some design paper as a frame and viola!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
A beautiful day it is here in the foothills of Colorado :)

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!

The little Santoro Gorjus girls are so sweet, and this little girl on her horse is one of my favorites.  I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and Zig markers to color the image then added a snowflake and sequins to make this Christmas card.

I am entering this card in the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week, just in time.  Here is the sketch we were given (as you can see I turned it sideways:

Congratulations to Jena and Rich

This photo does not do justice to the colors on the card, must get better at taking photos.  Anyway, this card has shine to it, used Blush paper and dots from My Mind's Eye, beautiful paper.  My Cousin's daughter got engaged at Thanksgiving and I made this card for her and her guy, she's a beautiful girl.

Entering this card into this week's challenge at  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

So happy you stopped by today :)
