You're So Sweet

I made this card for the challenge at the Muse Card Club this week.  Barb Ghig is the guest designer and she created a lovely card for the muse (see below).  I made my card very similar to the design of Barb's card and was inspired by:

The scalloped and stitched border on the top piece
The color pink

I used paper from Photo Play called cherry blossom, a sentiment from Penny black and a butterfly from Memory Box.

Here's Barb's card:

City Crafter Challenge - Tag It!

Hi City Crafters!  For the new challenge this week at City Crafter our host is Amy.  The theme for the challenge is "Tag It"; please make a tag or add a tag to your project.

I added a tag to my DT card.  After coloring my image I remembered this crazy, feathery ribbon I purchased a while ago and added it to her hat as the perfect, little fun touch.   Please stop by the blog to see all the DT cards for inspiration and let's have some fun!!

So happy you stopped by today :)

Twofer Card Challenge - Blossoms

There is a fairly new card challenge out there called Twofer Card Challenge.  The idea is to make 2 cards using the same stamp with different themes.  I recently purchased a set called "In My Heart" from Our Daily Bread and the stamp set has this pretty single hydrangea flower in it.  As you can see from my 2 cards above I used the hydrangea for the sheep's bodies on the left side card and as flowers on the right side card.

Here's a closer look:

Life is Beautiful

This stamp is called "Filly Sketch" by Stampendous.  I find it so pretty and love to make cards with it.  I made this card (my second) for the March Take It Make It challenge at Craft Stamper.

I used distress oxide ink, Prismacolor watercolor pencils and hand made paper for the background.  The "Life is Beautiful" stamp comes from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by today.  A beautiful, sunny day here on the front range :)

Running Horses

I made this card for the March Take It Make It challenge at Craft Stamper which is "Anything Goes".

The stamps are from B & J's Art Stamps in New Mexico.  The background was done with distress oxide inks.

Happy Spring!

March 20th will be the first day of Spring 2018, Yippee!!  Of course, being March in Colorado we had a good snow storm yesterday that left about 5 inches on the front range.  The sun is shining today and the little snow-diamonds look so dazzling, just love this.

I made my card for this week's challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch (see the sketch below).  Hydrangea is one of my favorite flowering plants; the flower stamp is from Our Daily Bread and the little sentiment is from Memory Box.  The image is colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils, the background paper is one of my favorites however I cannot remember who made it :(.

So happy you stopped by today :)

Dancing Lady

The paper used on this card is from Carta Bella.  I love pretty papers and have quite a bit of them  When I saw this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches I thought of this card right away.  The Memory Box die is called "Dancing Lady".

Here's the sketch:

So Happy

I used a new Altenew stamp set called "Sketchy Florals" on my card.  This week's challenge at the Muse Card Club is a pretty card by Tracey.  The peach color flowers drew me in, and as Spring is just a few days away I have been digging out my flower stamps and I'm ready to make Spring cards.

I didn't have peach markers or inks, so made my peach colors using orange and pink Zig markers.  Just happened to have 2 pieces of peach card stock and was on my way.

Here's Tracey's card given for inspiration:

So glad you stopped by today :)

Put a Bird on it

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is "Put a Bird on it".  My card is made with a Penny Black stamp called winters ledge and as you can see includes many little birds on it.  I made the background using Distress Inks and added a small sentiment from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by today. A windy day it is on the front range :)

City Crafter Challenge - Is Anybunny There?

Hi City Crafters!  Our challenge this week at City Crafter is hosted by Marina and she would like to see a bunny on your project.

Who doesn't love a cute, little, soft bunny?  I chose to use stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs called "Woodland Pals".  My card is colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils.

Please stop by the blog and check out the wonderful creations by the DT and of course play along with  us this week.

Wishing you a wonderful "almost Spring" day :)

Hi City Crafters!  Kirsty is our host this week at City Crafter and Hero is our inspiration.  Do you have a Hero in your life?  Do you love Super Heros?  Are you someone's Hero?  I've chosen Wonder Dog for my card, my dogs are indeed hero's, they protect our house and love us unconditionally evey day.

Please stop by the blog to see what all the DT members have created and join in the fun this week.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Wonder Dog!

Sparkle it's your birthday

The flowers & leaves on my card are made with Heartfelt stamps & dies.  I recently attended a workshop using these items and must say this will take some practice.  These were my favorites from the workshop so I put this card together with a Penny Black sentiment.

I am entering my card into 2 challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

So happy you stopped by today :)
