Happy Birthday Birds

I'm trying to find good places in our home to take my card photos.  This photo is taken on a very old and rusty bakers rack my husband bought for me to hold a number of my plants (we have over 32 houseplants in our home, 1 is over 50 years old).

Anyway, I made this card for this week's challenge at the Muse Card Club, a little late with my submission, but was out of town this week.  I was inspired by the birds & their color and the leaves.  Kim Heggins provided the Muse card for inspiration this week and here it is:

Make a Wish

The image on my card is a digital stamp from Mo Manning and when I saw this week's challenge at the Fusion Card Challenge I knew this was the card to make.  I combined both the sketch and the photo for my card.

Little Roses

The new Gorgeous Grape card stock from Stampin' Up is one of my favorite new colors.  It's so rich and matches other purple hued colors wonderfully.  The little roses on my card are from Impression Obsession, a new little stamp to my ever-growing collection.

I am entering this card in this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches:

Happy Birthday Tutu Doggy

This little tutu dog is a Mo Manning digital stamp and I love making birthday cards with it.  I used both Zig markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the image.  I then added a few gems, a sparkly ribbon a tiny happy birthday stamp and a piece of My Favorite Things flower paper to finish my card.

Entering 2 challenges this week:

1)  Cupcake Inspirations - pink, teal and cream

2)  Seize the Birthday - anything goes

So happy you stopped by today; a windy day it is here on the front range :)

A few cards for DT call

Gerda Steiner Designs is having a Design Team call and I'm going to submit the following cards in hopes of being considered for a place on the DT :)

As you can see all 3 cards are Gerda Steiner Designs stamps.  The first 2 cards are from the "Go Wild" stamp set and the 3rd card is a GSD digi stamp shaker card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please wish me luck :)

Create

I just added a few Technique Junkies stamps to my stamp collection and the butterfly stamp on this card is called "something different", the die is from Taylored Expressions called "create".   I made this card for 2 challenges:

1)   CAS Colours and Sketches (see the colors below).
2)  Die Cut Divas - Silhouette

I used Zig markers for the colors, spread the markers on an acrylic block, water sprayed white card stock, put the colored block on top of the paper and smooched it around.

Sending a Wave for your Birthday

The challenge at Seize the Birthday is "water" this week.  I just love this stamp and die set that was included with the Papercraft essentials magazine, issue 160.  I cased one of the cards included in the magazine and used Zig markers on Bristol watercolor paper for all the coloring.

Thanks for stopping by today. Another beautiful day in Sedalia, CO :)

Magical Birthday

This week's sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches left so much to the imagination and I took advantage of it.  I used paper that I just love from a new Simple Stories paper pad for my background.  Stamped my sentiment with Versamark and embossed with sliver embossing powder.  I then added a die cut flamingo, a few gems and a little heart to finish my card.

Here's the sketch:

You are Simply the Best

I made this card for the challenge at the Muse Card Club this week.  I embossed the flowers in white onto yellow card stock and stamped the sentiment in brown.  I then added a few small gemss and outlined the image with a think line of white card stock.

This week's inspiration card is by Anita Bowden and here it is:

Thank you for stopping by today; a beautiful day in the foothills :)

City Crafter Challenge - Sketch Pad

Hi there!  This week at City Crafter we have a sketch challenge and Marina is our host.  Marina is asking everyone to choose one of the sketches (below) and use it to make a card.  Feel free to change shapes, orientation, etc.  as long as we can still see the sketch.

I used the far right sketch for my DT card.  Please stop by the blog to see what the other DT members have created for inspiration and have some fun :)

So happy you stopped by today!
