Case this Sketch #46

You know how you see a sketch, you make your card, get ready to post it to your blog and enter the challenge and realize maybe your card doesn't fit the criteria for the challenge.  Well, I have done that - - here's the sketch for the challenge this week at Case This Sketch:

As you can see by looking at the sketch, it's CAS (clean & simeple).  Not sure how clean and simple my card is, but I like it and am entering it into the challenge.  This card is made with another of the Dog stamps I bought at the Scrap show on Friday:

Isn't this doggy fabulous, riding in the car with his ears (& bones) blowing in the wind.  I just love this stamp and couldn't wait to use it.

Thanks for stopping by, now get in the car (or on the motorcycle) and take a nice long ride :)

New Cute Dog Stamp....

On Friday I went to a Scrap show with my friend Terri O, I love adding the O to her name.  I bought quite a few stamps, etc. and the Dog stamp I used on my card is one of the stamps I bought.

The first time ink has hit this stamp is for the challenge over at Seize the Sketch, here's the sketch we are to use this week:

and here's my card with the water-soaked dog:

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to get the towel ready :)

Technique challenge = Grid

There is a technique challenge this week at the Just Us Girls challenge blog, the challenge is to use the Grid technique.  This technique is accomplished by scoring your paper in a grid pattern, I'm happy with my card, hope you like it too:

I used a Stampin' Up set called "a day for gratitude", colored the images with Tombo markers and then added a few gems.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Seize the Sketch #3

Ohhhh, I'm always so happy to find a new challenge blog, especially a "sketch" challenge (I just love sketches).  So the sketch challenge I just discovered is Seize the Sketch, check it out.  The sketch this week is this:

I've been in a Halloween card making daze the past few days, so I came up with this little card.  I just love these happy candy corns from Lawn Fawn, aren't they the cutest :)

Thanks for stopping by, now why not go and have a delicious piece of candy :)

Case Study #156

The September muse at the Case Study challenge blog is Kathy Racoosin, you must check out both blogs, the inspiration is overflowing with Wonderfulness (is that a word:).  I have admired Kathy's work for a long, long time.  She is so good with colors and makes such fantastic cards.

This is Kathy's colorful card to be cased:

And, here's my card:

I recycled a Vera Bradley shopping bag for my card.  I thought the flowers and colors of the bag were so pretty and when I saw the Case Study inspiration card the bag popped into my mind.  The sentiment stamp is Memory Box.  I added some ribbon & gems and used a border punch on the white background.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I just LOVE Vera Bradley's colorful, pretty purses :)

2 Autumn Cards

Hi there, it's almost Autumn my favorite season.  Although we are having a very hot day here in Sedalia, CO I am in an Autumn state of mind.  I made 2 cards for a "washi tape" scramble today and wanted to add them to my blog.  The scramble at the Hero Arts Flickr group asked us to use the washi tape on our card, so here they are:

This "memories" card uses wood designed washi tape on the left and bottom side.

The "choose beauty" card used washi tape on the left corner and bottom of the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

RIC#43 - Lela Rose

Every year about this time I break out the Halloween stamps.  The pup stamp used on my card is one of my favorites and he seems to find his way to a card every year.  This week the inspiration photo at the Runway Inspired Challenge blog inspired me to make my card, here's the inspiration photo:
