City Crafter Challenge - One layer Christmas card

This week at City Crafter Kirsty has chosen "one-layer Christmas card" as the theme.

For my DT project I made a one-layer card by stamping a 4 pine tree stamp 2 times, adding a Merry Christmas sentiment and a few red gems.

I hope you'll come and join in our challenge:

A fun filled day!

Cute little bears, is there anything sweeter?  The bears, bees and sentiment on my card are from WPlus9, the set is called "Curious Forest Friends".  I colored the images with Prismacolor Watercolor pencils.

I will be entering my card into 2 challenges:
1)  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2)  Muse Challenge - Card by Bharati (see card below).

Did someone say Donuts!

I Love donuts, always have.  My favorite donut is the blueberry glazed one, my second fav is the Boston creme with the custard filling and chocolate on top.  YUM!!!  O.k. .....

I made my card for this week's challenge at the Muse Card Club.  Inspiration comes from the cute card made by Kim Heggins (see below).  I took the inspiration for my card from, you guessed it, DONUTS!

Oh Happy Day - Watercolor Background

The challenge this week at Just Us Girls is "watercolor background".  I created the background on my card with Zig clean brush markers in blue, violet and light blue.  The cute elephants and the sentiment are from Mama Elephant again using my Zig markers, fussy cutting them and popping them up with dimensionals. And, the clouds are from Poppy Stamps.

City Crafter Challenge - Pineapples

Hi!  This week at City Crafter Amy is our hostess and she is asking everyone to make a project with a pineapple(s).  Because I think of a warm beach when I think of a pineapple, my card has a tropical feel.

Please stop by the blog to see what the other DT members have made for inspiration and join in on the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Twofer Challenge = Beverage

There's a new challenge at the Twofer Card Challenge blog this month:

Since my all time favorite beverage is coffee, I chose to use coffee stamps for my submission.  The stamps I used came with Issue 177 of Simply cards and papercraft magazine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

That Bites!

So, keeping in my zone, I'm entering another color challenge at Cupcake Inspirations today.  The colors are: Yellow, white and black.  Here I chose to use these crazy Avery Elle fish again, just love these little fish and their funny expressions.  And, the sentiment makes me laugh so much.  The die I used is from Tutti designs and I've used it quite a bit for summer and sea cards.

Enjoy the Sunshine

Using the colors gray, yellow, white and kraft is the challenge this week at Color Throwdown.  I'm taking on color challenges lately because I have always had a little trouble with them.  After putting this card together I'm very happy with the results.

The flowers and sentiment are by Altenew. The scallop die is by My Favorite Things and the gems are Lawn Fawn.  How's that for using a few stamp companies.

Turn that frown upside down

The stamp set I used on my card has been on my "I Want That" list for a long, long time.  Not sure why because I love it and as you can see I finally bought it, "That Bites" by Avery Elle.

This week's Muse Card Club challenge is by Tracey McNeely (see card below).  Although I have an Ellen Hutson mermaid tail stamp and die set I chose to use sea fish for my card, after all a mermaid is a sea fish isn't she?

I took my inspiration from :
  • Blue water streak on white card stock
  • Funny sentiment
  • Sea life

City Crafter Challenge - In The Pink

We have a new challenge at City Crafter this week hosted by Marina, In the Pink!  Well, of course I had to go with Pink flamingos for my card because I just love these pink birds.  Please take inspiration for you project from the photo below and stop by the blog to see the other DT member creations.
Thanks for stopping by today, another hot one here 100 degrees, whew!

Magical Birthday....

Some of my favorite stamps have always been the "Gorjus Girls".  This week's challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch (see sketch below) brought this little girl on her horse to my mind.  I made the background with Zig markers on watercolor paper.  The girl and her horse are colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils and the sentiment is from Poppy Stamps.  I fussy-cut the image and added to the base with dimentionals and added some dust dots for motion.

So happy you stopped by today.  Still too hot in my neck of the woods :)

You are simply the best

The Muse card club has a lovely card by Anita as our Muse today.  My background is made by using Zig markers and water.  The stamp is by Penny Black and the sentiment is by Technique Tuesday.  I added 3 Novo drops in a light purple, I love the Novo products.

I took inspiration from:
1)  Background
2)  Silhouette plant
3)  Sentiment location

Here's Anita's card:

So happy you stopped by today.  It's a beautiful day in the Mountains today :)

Coffee, then adulting

I just love the sentiment on this card, says it all :)  This week's challenge at Just Us Girls is a wild card week "Anything Goes".  Recently I purchased a Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine that had the coffee stamps and dies I used on my card.  Honestly, the magazine with the stamps and dies was only $12.99, what a deal.  So, I used my new coffee stamps and dies for my Anything Goes card.

Coffee, coffee, coffee - I just love the stuff, drink it all day long with a little milk, YUM!!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Think I'll go make some coffee now :)

Coffee, coffee, coffee

The challenge at Less is More this week is to make a card using scraps from your "bit box".  Well, I always have bits in my little scrap box and was happy to leaf through it for the challenge.  I found these little cups (no idea where they came from), I colored each one with my Zig markers, cut them out and adhered to the card base with pop dots.  I am so happy with this card, it's clean, simple and very colorful :)

So happy you stopped by today :)
