Mojo Monday - Sketch

I made this card using a sketch from the current challenge at Poetic Artistry - Mojo Monday.  When I first looked at the sketch I wanted to use this pretty designed paper I recently purchased, so made the card base with the light aqua in the paper and the roses with the pink in the paper.  The little rose die is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment is from Poppy Stamps.

So happy you stopped by today :)

Using Kraft

Kraft paper does look nice on cards at times.  This week's challenge at Inkspirational is to use kraft, so that's just what I did.  The heart stamp is an older Hero Arts stamps, the sentiment stamp is Dina Wakely and the die cut is Memory Box.

This card could be used for Valentine's day and a number of other times.  It would work as a guy card,  my husband liked it a lot when I showed it to him.  So, a guy card it is!

So happy you stopped by today :)

City Crafter - CAS

Hi City Crafters!  Our challenge at City Crafter this week is hosted by Amy and she has chosen CAS (clean and simple) as the challenge theme.  For my DT card I used a sweet cat stamp from Judith and Heather colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils.

Please join us for the challenge and stop the blog to gather inspiration from all the City Crafter DT members and their cards.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Twofer Card Challenge - Birds

The current challenge at Twofer is birds.  I have quite a few bird stamps, but the WPlus9 stamps I used for my 2 cards always put a smile on my face so I decided to use them for my cards.  Hope you get a smile too:

I saw a T-shirt with a similar design and though why not put this on a card.  Ha!  Would make a good card for someone getting a new laptop or cell phone :)

Another fun card, just a happy card to give to someone to put a smile on their face :)

So happy you stopped by today.

Library Challenge - Absolute Beginners

Absolute Beginners by Colin Macinnes is the book given for inspiration at the Library Challenge and I was inspired by the book's cover (see below) to make my card.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up, Mediterranean Moments.  I embossed the background and distressed it with distress inks, then layered my image on red handmade paper.  The image is colored with my new Arteza watercolor pencils.

A chilly day in Sedalia today, thanks for stopping by :)

Back to Basics & Beyond - #19 Shaped Card

We have a new challenge at Back to Basics & Beyond , challenge #19 - Shaped card.  You can use any shape you'd like just not a square or a rectangle.

For my first design team card, I chose a mason jar template as the shape.  I stamped my image and colored it with Arteza watercolor pencils.  Then I added a shell die cut, some pearls and a silver ribbon.

Items used:
Shape - Mason jar
Stamp - Technique Junkies Mermaid on Rock
Die - Tutti designs seashell corner
Arteza watercolor pencils

Please hop over to the challenge to see the inspiring creations by the other DT members and remember to have some fun.

So happy you stopped by today :)
