Halloween treat bags

I'm gearing up for one of my favorite holidays, Halloween and treat bags are starting to pile up around here! I was inspired to make the large treat bag with the fan from a video by Kandis Smith on the Hero Arts blog HERE.

It's a good day...

The Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at ...wee memories... is clean & simple (CAS) and/or a tag. I found this little tricycle so adorable and when I saw this challenge I knew this was the cute, little stamp to make it work. Happy cycling :) Items used: Itty bitty by Unity it's a good day stamps, ribbon, DP, baker's twine.

Teach your children well....

I love this Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song and am singing it while I put together this post. The challenge this week over at Caardvarks is "clean & simple" and my little card is just that. I will send this card to my friend who just happens to be a high school teacher. Items used: Stampendous book border stamps, watercolor pencils, baker's twine.

I found this stamp last week and it made me laugh so hard, I just had to buy it. It's a beautiful day, go ahead and have a laugh :)

Blue, grey and green

The challenge this week over at The Play Date Cafe (PDCC 48) is to use the colors dark blue (or purple), grey (or silver) and lime green. I chose to use one of my favorite flower sets for this challenge, here's my card: Items used: Stampendous!Ranunculus stamps, Distress ink, watercolor pencils, pearls, twine, border punch.

I found the color selection for this week's challenge at The Play Date Cafe to be a real challenge; the colors are red, turquoise, green, black & white. Then I found the new Halloween in Wonderland papers and tags from Graphics 45 and viola, an idea! Black, Orange & White - Oh My!

Have you seen the new Halloween in Wonderland paper and tags from Graphics 45, just amazing! The images are wonderful and my head is just exploding with ideas to use them.

Pairing Up Challenge 9/20

Don't you just love dandelions, I do. My husband on the other hand thinks they're awful weeds to be killed at every chance. Not me, I love the pretty yellow flowers dandelions have and think if they weren't labeled weeds they would be pretty flowers and everyone would want them :) Here's a dandelion card I put together with Autumn colors for the pairing up challenge between Trinh and I over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group. I have enjoyed doing this challenge w/ Trinh so much, she's one talented lady. Happy stamping! Miss Pearl and Little Angus....

I just love our dogs, Pearl and Angus. Yesterday Pearly was sleeping in front of the couch and our little Angus decided sleeping next to Pearl was the place to be, aren't they cute:
Today, after the long morning walk Angus was a sleepy little guy. We weren't paying attention to him and lo and behold he found a nice spot on the couch for a nap with his new favorite toy. Of course, after the picture was taken off the couch he goes, no doggies on the furniture in our house :)

Pink Witchy Shoes

The challenge this week over at The Play Date Cafe is challenge 46 - Color Splash using black & white & pink, copper or gold. I chose to use black, white and pink as I love the look of these 3 colors together. I have had this witch shoes stamp for a few years and use it every Halloween, it's one of my favs. When I saw this challenge I thought "what on earth could be better than Pink Witchy Shoes", don't you think? Items used: Stampendous witch shoes stamp, DP, pearls and ribbon.

Wedding Cards

I was asked to make 4 wedding cards and had so much fun doing this. Used the Stampin Up "To have and to Hold" stamp set, this set is one of my favorites for wedding cards

Happy Harvest

So, you know that little stamp set you have had in your sights forever? And, you have almost bought it a dozen times, but for some reason you don't? Well, this little apple stamp set from Hero Arts is one of those. I guess I didn't want it to be one of those sets I add to my stamp stash and then never use. Well, that won't be the case here. I finally got 'em and the ideas for cards keep coming to me especially since it is that apple time of year. Apples are so delicious and what is better than a homemade apple pie? As soon as the grocery stocks up on good apples I am going to get the pies going. O.k., so here's my card :)

Autumn flowers 1

I love wood grains (see my blog template :) and have added the Hero Arts woodgrain pattern stamp to my collection recently. After assembling this card I looked on-line for an appropriate sentiment and found this one, isn't it perfect? I am so happy with this card and sentiment, I will make a few more, so more to come. Items used: Hero Arts woodgrain pattern and leaf prints stamps, jute twine, Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday DP, Stampin Up clip and gems.

For this card I finally tried alcohol inks and a raised frame and am happy with the results. I am sending this thank you card to my stamping friend's husband as he was kind enough to mention me for a job at his company. Thank you, Michael :)
