Case Study Challenge 32

I enjoy the Case Study challenge blog . It's so nice to gather inspiration from another crafty person's beautiful creations and Case Study is just that. Here is the pretty inspiration card this week: I have had this October Afternoon DP for a little while and just love the old-time feel of it, I thought a little red and turquoise would be a nice stretch to mimic the case study card this week, so here goes: . Water can flowers

Purple, blue and white are the colors for this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe
and I thought this little watering can full of happy flowers fit the challenge perfectly
I found a vintage shop in Castle Rock yesterday called the Vintage Rose; the woman at the shop had hundreds of buttons in beautiful tins. We sat and chatted for some time and I selected a bunch of buttons, isn't the one on this card pretty? I love these old buttons, they have such character.
Items used: Stampendous thinking bouquet stamps, twine, button, gem flowers, watercolor pencils, DP and diamond glaze.

STR Week 54 - BINGO

This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is to select a row from this bingo card: I chose to create my card with items in the first row Brads, Lace and Gems. I used an antique drawing of a woman preparing to sew from Karen's wonderful blog The Graphics Fairy If you haven't been to Karen's blog before you should take a peek. Karen provides such wonderful vintage images; I garner much inspiration from the graphics on her blog. Birthday party in Pink

Party time is this weeks challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. I am late with this submission, have had one of those week's where I can't seem to catch up with things. Anyway, here's my card:

Card Patterns Sketch 107

I used sketch 107 over at Card Patterns for this birthday card. There are some beautiful creations this week, pop on over and check them out. Interesting colors....

Challenge # 73 over at The Play Date Cafe uses some interesting colors, lilac, mustard and maroon. To be honest I'm not sure if these are the actual colors, but this is how I saw them, check it out. Here's my submission for this challenge: I used a stampin up set for this card along with buttons, distress inkis, a Stampendous music background stamp and some twine.

Dance....

My friend Michelle has a birthday this month and I made this card for her. We used to love to go out dancing "back in the day" as Michelle would say. We live many miles apart now, however have remained the closest of friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND, I love you xoxo

Spring and Green

The Scrappy Saturday challenge over at wee memories blog this week is Spring and green. Spring is coming soon to the Rockies, it's a beautiful day today so sunny and warm and I'm looking forward to the first flowers. Here's my little number for this challenge: I am so sorry to say I cannot remember where I copied this free digi-print from, if anyone knows, please let me know so I can acknowledge the creator. I printed this digi for a valentine's day card and never got around to making it; it does make a lovely Spring card though, doesn't it :) Items used: Digi print, Cosmo Cricket DP, ribbon, pearls, watercolor pencils, stickles, lace, punch and Nestabilities.

Dancing Easter Chickies

This week's challenge over at The Play Date Cafe is to use the colors blue, orange and pink. Pink and orange actually go together nicely and with Easter around the corner I thought of these happy, dancing chickies:

Luck of the Irish

Green is my favorite color; always has been, so this week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room was right up "my alley" as I say :)I have been to Ireland and loved every minute of my stay there. From Dublin to Dingle, a beautiful country. Anyway, with St. Patty's day around the corner, green is the color of choice and I couldn't make a card without this cute little lamb: Items used: Hero Arts lamb stamp, stampendouse clover stamp, Cosmo Cricket DP, twine, flowrs, pearls, Nestabilities, distress inks.

PDCC #71 - Color Splash

This week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe is Color Splash - player's choice. You are to use black, white and one color from this pretty photo: I chose to use turquoise as my splash of color because I just love the way black, white and turquoise look together. Here's my card: Items used: Hero Arts Fabric design and Leaf cluster cling stamps, Memory box flower stamp ribbons, gems and pearls.

I found this cute image of 2 little girls tasting something delicious and a little cat on the Graphics Fairy blog a while back and thought it would fit perfectly with this week's challenge.
