Friends

I haven't used this Stampin Up stamp set in a long time; glad I came across it in my stamp-stash :) I made this card for the challenge at Case Study this week, here's the inspiration card:
I went clean and simple this time around (lately this is my fav style), here's my card:

You can always adjust your sails...

The challenge this week at Less is More is to take any three of the past challenges and combine the criteria from them into your card. Here's the card I created:
I chose the following week's thems:
Week 12 Off center
Week 25 Button or Ribbon
Week 43 Bit of Bling
I used an image I found in a magazine and a sentiment I typed myself on my computer :)

Aren't doors fascinating? I have always been drawn to doors, colorful doors, doors with wreaths, doors with flowers, you get the picture :) When I saw this week's inspiration card at Case Study I thought of the colorful doors that would be on these little colorful houses; here's the inpsiration card by Laura Bassen: And, here's my card: Items used: Hero Arts sparkle clear home stamps, ribbon, pearls and watercolor pencils.

I really like the colors for the challenge this week at the Play Date Cafe; the colors are teal, electric green, tangerine and jeans (it's a kick that we all know "jeans" is/are blue). Here's the inspiration photo: and, here' my card:

Life is a Carnival

I'm so happy with the new stamps I recently purchased. The carnival woman on this card is from Blockheads Stamps; I just love the stamps I discovered here. Well, this week's challenge at Our Creative Corner is "Making Melody", the challenge is to make a card based on a song. Can you guess what my song is? It's Life is a Carnival by the Band, an oldie but very goody, can't stop singing it as I write this post. Here she is in all her finery: I wrote the sentiment myself and I think it works :) The yellow tinge on the carnival wench is a Mustard Yellow distress ink from Tim Holz. I found it on-line and it's so bold, I like it and must use it more :)

Neutrals

Neutral colors are the challenge this week at Less is More. Mandi and Chrissie have given us some beautiful inspiration this week and I chose to use one of my new blockhead tulip stamps in the neutral colors of black, white and gray. I am so happy with my new stamps from Blockheads. You can see another of my recent purchases in my previous post :)

Colorful Poppy Garden

I love poppies, all colors of poppies; they are such pretty flowers. I think my love of this pretty flower started when I first saw Georgia O'keefe's wonderful paintings. I was inspired to make this card by this week's challenge over at Case Study. The challenge is to case this pretty CAS card by Laura Bassen:
My inspiration came from the pretty clean design of this card and the bold primary and secondary colors, here's my card: The pretty stamp used on this card is Prickly Pear's Poppie's Garden :)
