Poppies

I know I've said this before, but I Love POPPIES.  I was making cards with 2 Stampin' Up friends this week and stamped a few of the pretty poppies I used on my card and took them home to use another day  Another day came and I used the sketch from this week's challenge at the Inkspirational Challenges blog, here's my card:

A Painterly Palette

This week's Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World is a painterly palatte with such pretty colors, see for yourself:

When I see pretty colors such as this I think of flowers and butterflies and sherbert and calm waves on the ocean, ohhhh the list could go on forever.  I chose to use chevrons and a butterfly for my card and here it is:

What's the Buzz?

I just added the little Memory Box chair stamp on this card to my collection, even got the die so it would be easy to mass-produce this cute, little  chair :)

I'm submitting the first card made with this chair to the challenge ove at Freshly Made Sketches, here it is:

The sentiment stamp is from Paper Smooches Cyber Cafe.  Here's the sketch:

One layer - not square or rectangle

This week the challenge at Less is More is to make a one-layer card that is not square or rectangle.  I hardly ever make cards that are different shapes when I think of it; I'm going to make a note of this and try to add shaped cards to my creations.

Here is the little thank you card I made for the challenge:

The 2 stamps used for this card are from Memory Box, the shape is cut with 2 different Spellbinders' dies.  I added some designed paper and a white dot.  Simple and pretty, don't you think?

Grab Life by the Beans

Paper Smooches has such cute cards; a while back I took one of the classes at Archiver's and we used the Cyber Cafe stamp set from PS and I just had to add these cute stamps to my ever-growing collection.

The July challenge at the Fusion Card Challenge blog was just calling for a stack of something and I chose to stack some cups for my card, here it is:

As you'll see from the picture below, I went with Leslie's challenge for this card.  If you haven't checked out the Fusion challenge blog you must get over there right now, it's so creative and fun and the DT always provides such great inspiration.

So, go ahead
GRAB LIFE BY THE BEANS :)

Seize the Cupcake

Just what happened to the Cupcake Craze anyway?  For a while all we saw was cupcakes not that I'm complaining, I love cupcakes, but cupcake stamps, papers, stickers, you name it they were everywhere - I guess it was bound to happen, now the stamping and paper craft world has moved on to the next craze :)

Anyway, when I saw the pretty card given for inspiration at Case Study I was going to make a card with butterflies, then I changed my mind, here's my card for this week's challenge:

Here's the inspiration "case" card by Jocelyn Olson:

As anyone knows, you can never have too many birthday cards in your collection!

AHOY, IT'S A BOY!

My dear, sweet friend Michelle is going to be a grandmother for the 4th time.  Her middle daughter Jocelyn and her husband Jim are going to have their first baby and the baby is a boy.  I cannot make the trip to Wisconsin for the shower, so I've made this card using the "Ahoy, it's a Boy!" from the invitation:

The little sailboat stamp is by Lockhart stamps, their little stamps are always so sweet and this fit perfectly with the baby shower theme.

Here's a photo of Jim and Jocelyn, isn't she a beautiful young woman :)  Last year when I was in Wisconsin we all went out on Jim's families boat on a beautiful, sunny day:

Happy Friends

This wonderful silhouette of a horse and dog running and having fun was printed from The Graphics Fairy site.  When I saw the challenges at the Inkspirational challenge blog and the Freshly made sketches blog I decided to use this fun silhouette for my submission to both challenges; here's my card:

The colorful pretty double-sided paper used on the background is from Doodlebug Designs.  I added some twine, a Hero Arts sentiment stamp and viola, a card is born :)

Here are the colors and sketch I used:
