It's Raining

Well, it's not exactly raining here, it's snowing, snowing like crazy, AGAIN.  Not unusual for Colorado at this time of the year.  We had an actual blizzard 2 days ago, but the sun came out the next day and the roads were pretty good.

Anyway, this weeks challenges at both Casology and Simon Says (come rain or shine) have to do with the weather, so I took out my cute, little Whipper Snapper umbrella girl and made this card for the challenges.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy this Spring weather wherever you are :)

Muse Challenge 158

I made this card for challenge #158 at the Muse Card Club.  The card presented as our "Muse" this week is by Tracey McNeely, she made such a soft and pretty card, here it is:

The pink and green petals are what caught my eye, so I used mostly pinks and greens on my card.

We are having a March blizzard here in Colorado today.  At my house we already have 2 feet of snow and I decided not to venture into work today.  So, making cards is what I'm up to.

Happy you stopped by, if you're in my neck of the woods, keep warm :)

My First Muse Challenge Entry

This stamp set "Grateful Bunch" from Stampin' Up is one I didn't even notice until I went to a stamp-a-stack and made a pretty card with it.  Here's my submission to a recently found card club.....

...When I discovered a card club called Muse, I was so excited and loved this beautiful card by Anita Bowden we were given as our Muse:

Well, here goes my first entry into the Muse card club.

So happy you stopped by today.  Spring it is, flowers to follow soon :)

St. Pat's Day, right around the corner...

I am entering this card in the sketch challenge at My Favorite Things this week.  The Gnome set of stamps from MFT is one of my many favorites, I just love the little guys.

Here's the sketch;

A pub we visit "Maggie Smith's" has the Guinness clock always counting down to St. Patty's Day, it's getting close.  Although corned beef and cabbage is not really made for this day in Ireland, us Americans always enjoy a feast of CB&C on this special day.  Oh yes, and Irish Soda Bread too.  What can I say, my husband is from a long line of Irish men :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Elephants in the Room

I'm always so happy when I use these cute, little elephants from Wplus9 and this week's challenge at the City Crafter blog is just that, Elephants in the Room.

I fussy cut the elephants and the balloon and put a strip of shinny blue paper and birthday hat paper as my background.  I love the sentiment, just sayin; :)

Here are the sweet elephants we were given for inspiration:
Glad you stopped by today!

Spin

This week's challenge at theCasology blog is the word SPIN.  I immediately thought of a rodeo horse spinning and spinning trying so hard to get that darn cowboy off of his back.  If you have never seen a rodeo you might want to put it on your bucket list.  A lot of fun.  Here's the Casology word box for the challenge:

Thanks for stopping by today.  The wind is spinning wildly outside today :)
