Chicks Rule!

Just added this Inky Antics  "Girlfriend Chicks" stamp set to my ever-growing cache of stamps.  They are so much fun and I know my girlfriends will Love receiving a card with these Chickies!

This week's challenge at Just Us Girls is a wild card "Let's hear it for the girls", so I put this stamp to ink and added the sentiment "chicks rule!" for the challenge.  Hope you get a kick out of my card :)

Happy you stopped by today, a hot one it is here in the Rockies :)

Smile!

I added this Memory Box flower die and the MB butterfly dies to my "craft stash" a month or so ago. I tried a few times to create a card I was happy with using the flower die and just couldn't seem to do that.  I kept watercolor washing an area behind where the flower would sit and it wasn't working :(  Today, I tried using these dies with a pretty paper I had and I do like this card.

I am entering my card in the Anything Goes challenge this week at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Birthday Fox with Flowers

I purchased a Bo Bunny 6X6 paper pad yesterday and when I saw this week's challenge at Case This Sketch I knew I would use one of the beautiful and fun papers in this pad for my card.  The little Fox with the flowers is from Whipper Snapper designs, just love their stamps, and the sentiment is from WPlus9.

Here is the sketch we were given for inspiration:

Thank you for stopping by today and a beautiful day it is in Colorado :)

Muse Challenge #176 (card 2)

My card was an Honorable Mention card at Muse Card Club on August 2, 2016!

As I said in my previous post, I was so inspired by a pretty card Linda S. made for the Muse Card Club this week, I made 2 cards.  Here is my second card for this week's challenge, I stayed with the pink coloring on this one and added a strip of brown.

Again, here is Linda's pretty card:

So glad your here, actually I'm Tickled Pink :)

Muse Challenge #176 (card 1)

The Muse this week at  Muse Card Club is to gather inspiration from a pretty card made by Linda S. This poppy card is the first of 2 cards I made for this week's challenge.

Here is Linda's card that inspired me:

Thank you for stopping by, my 2nd card is on the above post.

Enjoy the Journey...

The challenge at Casology this week is the word Journey.  Very appropriate as my husband, Mike and I will be going on a journey to South Africa in 2 weeks.  It will be our first time to Africa and I'm excited beyond words!

The 2 cute airplanes and sentiment on my card are from Taylored Expressions.

So happy you stopped today :)

Inkspirational - Photo Inkspiration

The sentiment on this card is one of my favorites.  When I saw the photo inspiration at Inkspirational Challenges this week I immediately thought of the stars stamp I used here and a card was born.

Here is the inspiration photo:

So glad you're visiting my blog today.  Thank you :)

Simple & Pretty

So, sometimes I'm not sure if certain cards I make can be entered as CAS (clean & simple) cards to challenges.  Although this card has a few simple die cuts and an embossed piece, I see it as CAS,  Could not decide on a sentiment to add, so leaving this as a blank card, sentiment to be written inside.

I am entering this card to 2 challenges this week:

CASology - cue card = Rough

and

Less Is More - recipe = tactile (interesting to the touch)

Happy you stopped by today :)

Yeah for Donuts :)

I just think this "Say Yes to Donuts" stamp set from Neat & Tangles is the cutest.  Had to have it the minute I saw it.  I put glossy accents and glass glitter on the frosting and sprinkles and I can't believe I took the photo so you can see it.

Some people might think this birthday card could only be used for a kiddo, but I'm sure adults would like it too, I know I do :)

Happy you're here today, go have a delicious, frosted donut now :)

Such pretty paper...

I bought the pretty paper used on this card a few months back, just love it.  I finally used the paper on this card I made for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week. 'm wasn't sure about the vanilla paper I used for the sentiment and actually am still not sure about it, but decided to leave it for the challenge.  I can always change it if it bothers me too much :)

Here is the sketch for the challenge:

Glad you stopped by today :)

Beautiful

Butterflies always make a beautiful card, don't you think?  The challenge at Less Is More this week is repetition, so I repeated this pretty butterfly stamp 4 times and colored just the one butterfly.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and it's so true.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You are beautiful :)

Thinking of You Poppy

I know I've said this before, poppies are my favorite flowers.  There are so many pretty poppy stamps in craft-land and I own quite a few.  This poppy is from Penny Black and the poppy paper is from Stampin' Up.

I made this card for the challenge at Case This Sketch, here's the sketch:

On the Border

Hope this card gives you a smile; these chicky-girls are so funny I can't help but laugh.  I made this card for this week's challenge at the City Crafter challenge blog.  The challenge is "on the border", as in put a border on your creation.  My border is the wide scallop under the chicks.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

My Favorite Irish Blessing

The challenge this week at Casology is the word chevron.  I keep trying to do CAS cards and I think I'm getting closer to the CAS look

Here is the Lovely Irish Blessing:
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields, and
until we meet again may God hold you
in the palm of his hand.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May the sun shine warm upon your face :)

Anything Goes with Red

The Inkspirational Challenge this week is "Anything Goes - with Red.  Who doesn't just Love a red dress?  I've had this red and white flower paper for ages and I knew the right card would come along and it did.  I will be entering this card into the challenge today.

Bird Song...

Anita Bowden made the card for inspiration at the Muse Card Club this week and what a pretty card it is (see below).  I changed the color scheme and orientation for my card and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

Coloring Book Horses

Kathy hosts 30 Day Coloring Challenges at times on her blog: The Daily Marker.  The new challenge started today and Kathy used a coloring book page for her card.  This intrigued me, so I gave it a shot.  Stop by Kathy's blog and check it out.

My friend Carol gave me 2 adult coloring books a while back; the Scandinavian horses on my card are from one of the books.  I used my Zig clean color makers to color the image.  I had thought of making a card with images from the coloring books for some time, thanks Kathy for giving me the push to finally do this :)

Thanks for stopping by today, if you have a coloring book, give this a try :)

Hello

I made this card for the challenge at Case This Sketch.  Only used dies for this card, been doing a lot of that lately.  The selection of dies out there in craft-land are so diverse and wonderful it's become fun to make cards using different dies.

Here is the sketch for the challenge this week:

Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Independence Day!!

Did someone say Scoop...

Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!  Ha, we used to say that when I was a kid and I still say it; Ice cream is my favorite dessert.  Most people have a favorite flavor, mine is chocolate chip mint, no matter how I try this is the only flavor of ice cream I want :)

I made this card for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week, here's the sketch:

So glad you're visiting today.  Perfect time of year for ice cream, yeah!!
