Dogwood Branches

This week's challenge at Casology is the word Grow.  Again, I'm trying my hand at CAS cards and although I may have missed the mark this week I'm going to give it a go and enter my card in the challenge.  I used Memory Box dogwood branch stamp and stamped it twice.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for popping by today.
The flowers are starting to bloom in the foothills, won't be long now :)

Muse Challenge #212

It's been some time since I made a monochromatic  card and I must say I'm happy with this one.  I made this card for the challenge at the Muse Card Club this week.  This week's Muse card is by Jenni Murray, here it is:

Glad you stopped by today, have a nice evening :)

Amazing Butterflies

My card was a Featured Member this week at the Muse Card Club :)

I'm a little late with my card for the Muse Card Club challenge this week; somehow time got away from me.  For my card I used a butterfly stamp from Inky Antics and did each in 2 blended colors using my favorite Zig markers.  The Muse card this week is by Tracey McNeely and a pretty card it is (see below):

I took my inspiration from the multiple, colorful spheres on Tracey's card.

Thanks for visiting today, a lovely Saturday here in the foothills :)

Card Concept - Fresh Flutters

The photo that inspired my card is the inspiration photo for the challenge at The Card Concept this week.  I took my inspiration from the white flowers and the pretty butterflies.  I have always liked the sentiment I used on the card, it's so true and perfect for a Spring card.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Happy you stopped by today.  We are having such nice Spring weather here :)

One Layer Card - Curve

It's one-layer card time at the  Less Is More challenge blog this week, one-layer with a curve.  The stamp is from Denami Design called double Lily.  I stamped the stamp 3 times to make the curve, added color with watercolor pencils and stamped the sentiment from Memory Box to complete the card.

Glad you stopped by today :)

Altenew April Inspiration Challenge

I made this card for the April Inspiration Challenge at Altenew.  I used the small flower and leaves from Altenew's Hennah Elements set.  I smooched zig markers for the background and then splashed some blue ink with a paintbrush and water.

Here's the inspiration photo:

Glad you stopped in today and
a beautiful day it is in Sedalia :)

Muse Challenge 210

You know those stamps you have, they are in a drawer, and you almost forget about them?  Well, this cute little bluebird by Inky Antics is one of those stamp sets.  When I saw the Muse challenge inspiration card by Anita Bowden this week, I immediately thought of this bluebird with the big cherry. The inside sentiment is:  with a cherry on top :)

The inspiration I took from Anita's card came from the bluebirds and the ribbon.  Instead of embossing the background I chose to use designed paper with light blue in it.  Here's Anita's cute card:

Glad you stopped by today.  Snow has stopped and the sun is shining :)

"Surprise" Monster

Here's another new stamp I bought yesterday, CC Designs "Surprise" Monster.  As it turns out, this cute monster is perfect for the challenge at Casology this week - Icing.

Happy you're visiting today, still snowing here :)

Shiny Spring!

I bought some new stamps yesterday, Love buying new stamps, don't you?  The butterflies are from Stampendous, and I just love the way they are designed.  I made this card for this week's challenge at AAA Cards - shiny Spring.  The sequins and some stickles add the "shiny" to my card.

Thanks for popping in today.  Snow, snow and more snow today in the Rockies :)

Celebrate Everything

Celebrating the 50th challenge at Inspired by all the little things this week.  I chose to use these sweet, little, happy girls for the celebration.  I used Stickles to glitterize (is that a word?) the white on the girls cute dresses.  I focused on the sparkling white lights and touches of pink and black in the inspiration photo below:
Wishing you a happy, sparkling day!

Muse Challenge #209

Tulips along with daffodils are among the first welcoming signs of Spring.  Such pretty and delicate flowers to fill the senses.  I took inspiration for my card from Sonja K's pretty card below.  The elements that inspired me are: the oval window, lovely flower, sequins and the transparent ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Take flight, spread your wings.....

My card was an Honorable Mention on the Casology Blog :)

I made this card for the "Text" challenge at Casology this week.  Spring is here, flowers and butterflies will be filling our senses soon.  Such a beautiful time of year!

Glad you stopped by today, happy Spring time to you :)

Pink Felt Bunny with Flowers

This is the first time I have used a die cut with felt (my pink bunny).  I was surprised by how easy the felt cut and made 6 pink felt bunnies for Easter cards.

I made this card with 3 challenges in mind:

1)  AAA Cards - Die Cuts, see photo below
2)  Inspired by all the little things - see photo below
3)  Simon Says Wednesday - Use more than 1 die or punch

Thanks so much for stopping by today; cold and rainy day here :)

Did someone say French Fries?

The other day I drove through Sonic for a hot dog, yup that's right a hot dog :)  I was sitting in my car eating my hot dog before going grocery shopping and I see this magpie swoop down and pick up a french fry on the ground, go up in a tree and chomp away.

Anyway, I was looking at the sketch for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and this card popped into my mind. Here's the sketch:
Glad you stopped by for a visit today :)

Fusion - Paris Rain

I made this card for the challenge over at Fushion Card Challenge  this week.  My card uses the photo of people walking in the Paris rain as inspiration. I added touches of turquoise and yellow to accompany the lady in red.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy you're here :)

You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream :)

My card was an Honorable Mention on the Casology Blog :)

Ice Cream, my favorite dessert of all time.  Mint chocolate chip, always :)

The challenge over at Casology this week is the word "Melt" and the melting ice cream cone fits the bill perfectly, don't you think?

I do have some ice cream in the freezer, think I'll have that for lunch :) or perhaps dessert after dinner tonight.

Happy you stopped by today.
We have a small amount of Spring snow on the ground.  It's good, we need the moisture :)

Muse Challenge #208

I took inspiration for this card from this week's challenge at the Muse Care Club.  We were given the cute Baby card below by Jenni Murray as our Muse.

I took my inspiration from the card layout and the gingham background paper.

Glad you stopped by today, we are having nice, warm Spring weather today :)

Muse Challenge #207

I made this card for this week's challenge at the Muse Card Club.  I was looking for Spring paper to use for the background on the card and found this brick-like paper in my paper drawer.  I added a purple bunny die cut, some flowers, leaves and a sentiment and my card was done.

Tracy McNeely created the sweet Easter inspiration card below:

Thank you for stopping by today.
We are having sunny, warm weather on the front range.
Of course, this is Colorado so the snow may follow before April is over :)

A Little Birdie Told Me......

Happy Birds by WPlus9 had become one of my favorite stamp sets.  Not only are the birds adorable but I love the little sentiments that come with the set.

I originally made this card for one card challenge, however it fits three challenges this week, so I am entering it in all three.

The card concept - lime and aqua
Muse card club - see muse card below
Just us girls - Geometric

So happy you dropped in today :)

Less Is More - Alaphabet

I have stacks and pads of designed paper, love the stuff.  I was so happy when I found this alphabet paper in my drawer because it fits the challenge at Less Is More this week so well.  The cute, studious cat is from Newton's Nook and I thought he was perfect for the alphabet paper.  This inside sentiment says "curl up with a good book".

So happy you stopped by today.  I'm relaxing and making cards today.

Life doesn't get much better :)

Muse Challenge #203

I made this card for the challenge over at the Muse Card Club this week.  I just love these 3 stamps from Pink Ink, aren't they the cutest?  I stamped the bathrobe twice, 1 time on the pink gingham paper and 1 time on white paper.  I then fussy cut the sash, pockets and collar in white and attached over the gingham.

We were given this fun card made by Tracey McNeely for inspiration.  I took my inspiration from the "oh, you don't feel good" theme.  Hope you like it :)

Thanks for stopping by.  My Boo cat wants attention now, must go :)

Hi Friend....

I am also entering my card into this week's challenge at Inkspirational; the challenge is designer's choice - Polka Dots.

So glad you stopped by.  We had a beautiful day full of sunshine today :)
