Paper Piecing

The challenge over at Just Us Girls this week is "paper piecing".  I was thrilled to see the challenge as I love to fussy cut and paper piece.  I chose this stamp from Prima, Julie Nutting "Megan" for my card today.

I stamped Megan twice, once on white cardstock and once on red and white flower paper.  I cut the flower skirt out and put a piece of a doily around the waist.  Added some red gems around her neck and splattered on the card.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, thought it was perfect for this card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Snow, snow and more snow today in the Rockies :)

Freshly Made Sketches #285

Lately I can't seem to get enough of Color, wonderful, bright colors!  And, my Zig markers provide me with the perfect medium to color and watercolor stamped images.

I made this sweet cat & butterfly card for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, please see the sketch below:
So glad you stopped by today.

April Showers

April showers bring May flowers, there most likely aren't too many people who haven't heard this little saying :)  The challenge over at The Card Concept this week is April Showers and although the lovely photo provided for the challenge has flowers and boots I chose to focus on the "showers".

This little girl stamp called Patsy from Whipper Snapper is adorable and I always like bringing her to life with color and sparkles.  I used a new paper pad by Lawn Fawn for the background and umbrella, love the plaids and colors in this paper pad.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Thanks for stopping by today, those April showers are coming down at our house today :)

Love brings us home....

I like the sentiment on my card "Life takes us in unexpected places, Love brings us HOME".  I made this card for the challenge at Muse Card Club this week.  One of my favorite stampers, Kay Miller, provided the Muse card for us and here it is:

Thanks for stopping in today.

Dogwood Branches

This week's challenge at Casology is the word Grow.  Again, I'm trying my hand at CAS cards and although I may have missed the mark this week I'm going to give it a go and enter my card in the challenge.  I used Memory Box dogwood branch stamp and stamped it twice.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for popping by today.
The flowers are starting to bloom in the foothills, won't be long now :)

Amazing Butterflies

My card was a Featured Member this week at the Muse Card Club :)

I'm a little late with my card for the Muse Card Club challenge this week; somehow time got away from me.  For my card I used a butterfly stamp from Inky Antics and did each in 2 blended colors using my favorite Zig markers.  The Muse card this week is by Tracey McNeely and a pretty card it is (see below):

I took my inspiration from the multiple, colorful spheres on Tracey's card.

Thanks for visiting today, a lovely Saturday here in the foothills :)

Card Concept - Fresh Flutters

The photo that inspired my card is the inspiration photo for the challenge at The Card Concept this week.  I took my inspiration from the white flowers and the pretty butterflies.  I have always liked the sentiment I used on the card, it's so true and perfect for a Spring card.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Happy you stopped by today.  We are having such nice Spring weather here :)

One Layer Card - Curve

It's one-layer card time at the  Less Is More challenge blog this week, one-layer with a curve.  The stamp is from Denami Design called double Lily.  I stamped the stamp 3 times to make the curve, added color with watercolor pencils and stamped the sentiment from Memory Box to complete the card.

Glad you stopped by today :)

Altenew April Inspiration Challenge

I made this card for the April Inspiration Challenge at Altenew.  I used the small flower and leaves from Altenew's Hennah Elements set.  I smooched zig markers for the background and then splashed some blue ink with a paintbrush and water.

Here's the inspiration photo:

Glad you stopped in today and
a beautiful day it is in Sedalia :)

Muse Challenge 210

You know those stamps you have, they are in a drawer, and you almost forget about them?  Well, this cute little bluebird by Inky Antics is one of those stamp sets.  When I saw the Muse challenge inspiration card by Anita Bowden this week, I immediately thought of this bluebird with the big cherry. The inside sentiment is:  with a cherry on top :)

The inspiration I took from Anita's card came from the bluebirds and the ribbon.  Instead of embossing the background I chose to use designed paper with light blue in it.  Here's Anita's cute card:

Glad you stopped by today.  Snow has stopped and the sun is shining :)

"Surprise" Monster

Here's another new stamp I bought yesterday, CC Designs "Surprise" Monster.  As it turns out, this cute monster is perfect for the challenge at Casology this week - Icing.

Happy you're visiting today, still snowing here :)

Shiny Spring!

I bought some new stamps yesterday, Love buying new stamps, don't you?  The butterflies are from Stampendous, and I just love the way they are designed.  I made this card for this week's challenge at AAA Cards - shiny Spring.  The sequins and some stickles add the "shiny" to my card.

Thanks for popping in today.  Snow, snow and more snow today in the Rockies :)

Celebrate Everything

Celebrating the 50th challenge at Inspired by all the little things this week.  I chose to use these sweet, little, happy girls for the celebration.  I used Stickles to glitterize (is that a word?) the white on the girls cute dresses.  I focused on the sparkling white lights and touches of pink and black in the inspiration photo below:
Wishing you a happy, sparkling day!
