Love Always

Valentine's Day is only 2 weeks away and I have made a few cards for this Lovely holiday :)  As it turns out this week Shopping Our Stash is have a Valentine's Day challenge and I decided to enter this card into the challenge.

For the card I used pretty flower/butterfly paper for the background, a white doily, another printed paper for my hearts and a sentiment from Hero Arts.  Although hard to see in the photo there is a think length of gold thread behind the doily to the end of the background.

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Donuts for my birthday

This week at the Muse Card Club Kim Heggins made the cutest card as the Muse (see below).  The minute I saw Kim's cards I knew I would use this stamp set from Neat & Tangled.  I put some Glossy Accents on the donut frosting and added gems to the little girls bows for some bling (I love bling).  I took inspiration for my card from:

1)  The circle windows
2)  Colorful treats

Thanks for stopping by today.  Think I'll have a donut :)

City Crafter Challenge Blog - Balloons

The challenge this week at City Crafter is balloons. Amy asks us to use at least one balloon on our project.  For my DT card I used My Favorite Things balloon dies and a sentiment from Penny Black.

Looking forward to seeing your project for this challenge; please go over to the blog first and see the fab projects the rest of the DT have made.

So happy you stopped by today :)

You're So Cool...

I am so lucky! I won a stamp set called "Arctic Pals" by Ellen Hutson.  I just Love this set, so many cute Arctic pals :)  This week's challenge at AAA Cards is the word "Chilled", so what better than to use some arctic animals for my card.

I made the background using Zig markers on an acrylic block then spritzing both the paper and the block with water and turning the block in a circular pattern.  The sentiment cracks me up so had to use it for the challenge and my card is complete.

So happy you stopped by.
No problem chilling here today, about 4" of snow on the ground :)

WOW!!

When I saw this cute stamp set "Go Wild" from Gerda Steiner I just had to have it.  After being on a few safaris in Africa I enjoy having images that remind me of our trip.  I used Prismacolor watercolor pencils to color the images and Zig markers to make the sky.

I am entering this card in the January monthly "Share your Designs" challenge on the Gerda Steiner Designs blog.
Thanks for stopping by today. Sun & Snow on the front range today :)

Birthday Bear

This cute polar bear stamp is by Memory Box.  I've had him a year or 2 and this is the first I have put ink to him and made a card :)  When I saw this week's card at the Muse Card Club by Tracey McNeely (see below) I knew this was the image for my card.  I took inspiration from:

1)  Blue Sky
2)  Birthday sentiment
3)  Cute animal with a scarf

So glad you stopped by today!

Gerda Steiner January Image Challenge

This cute little panda is a digi stamp from Gerda Steiner stamps and the image challenge for January is to use this little cutie on you card.  I chose to make a shaker card for the challenge because you really can never have enough hearts for Valentine's Day :)

Here's the image for this month's challenge:

Memory Box Challenge - Snow and Winter

I am entering my card into the Snow & Winter challenge at Memory Box.  The snowflake border die from Memory Box is one of my favorites.  I put the die on top of Graphics 45 "ballerina" paper and added a silver ribbon for a very "girly" Christmas card.  I Love using blue and white for Christmas cards :)

City Crater Challenge Blog - At the Tearoom

Hi City Crafters!  Marina is our hostess this week at City Crafter and she is asking us to make a project featuring something you'd find in a tearoom.

For my DT card I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the cupcakes and tea cup on my card.  I then adhered them to a pink polka-dot paper, added a scallop and shiny silver ribbon and my card is complete.

We look forward to seeing your projects for this challenge, but please first go over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT have made.

So happy you stopped by today :)

Ahh! Warm Coffee

There really is nothing like a nice, warm cup of coffee on a cold winter day (any day really).  I made this little house mouse card for the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations.  The inspiration photo is below and I took inspiration for my card from the snowflakes and colors (pink & lilac).  Prismacolor watercolor pencils added color to the little mouse and the shading on the coffee cup.

So happy you stopped by today.
Snow and cold in our neck of the woods :)

Pretty in Pink

The challenge at Inky Paws this week is "Pretty in Pink".  Well, since pink is one of my favorite colors I was more than happy to make a card with cute, little Newton for this challenge.  The inside of my card says "may all your dreams come true".  Pink makes anything fabulous!
Thanks for stopping by today.  Get your Pink on :)

I just love the scalloped border dies I recently purchased from My Favorite Things.  They add a little something extra to the cards I have been making.  I made this card for this week's challenge at Muse Card Club.  Anita Bowden provided the Muse card this week; I took inspiration for my card from:

1)  Teal background
2)  Birthday theme
3)  Flowers

Here's Anita's card:

So happy you stopped by today, thank you :)

Framed Birthday Flowers

I just Love colorful flowers? The die cut I used for my card is by Memory Box, Floral fantasy frame.  I cut the frame and used removable tape to tape it to a piece of white card stock.  I then used Prismacolor watercolor pencils to color the flowers, removed the frame and gently used an aqua brush to add water to make the colors pop.

Adding my card to 2 challenges this week, both challenges are "Anything Goes".

Thanks for stopping by today :)

You give me wings

Back in September the annual Scrapbook show was here in Denver and there were many great buys.  I added this butterfly stamp set from Rubbernecker stamps to my collection and made this card; my first card with this set.  I usually use multiple colors for butterflies and decided to try something a little different with these by using just one color in different shades with Prismacolor watercolor pencils.

Putting my card in 2 challenges this week:

Case this Sketch - see below

So happy you stopped by today.  Keep warm :)
