City Crafter Challenge - Die Cuts

Hi there City Crafters!  This week I am hosting our challenge and we would like to see a die cut(s) on your card.  You can use any theme you'd like as long as there is a die cut included.  For my DT card I have used Penny Black elephant dies and MFT leaf dies.  Please stop by the City Crafter blog to see the inspiration from the other DT members and join in the fun :)

Thank you for stopping by today :)

CAS(E) This Sketch #260

This week's sketch (see below) at CAS(E) this Sketch is a sentiment as the main focus of your card.  The stamp set I used is from Stampin' Up; I love the large hello with the pretty flowers and leaves and thought if fit the challenge perfectly.  I used my trusty Zig markers to color the image and made some Nuvo crystal drops for a little sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Fusion Card Challenge

I made this card with Heartfelt flower stamps and dies.  Not sure why, but I had these sitting in a "for sale" box I'm putting together.  When I saw the challenge at Fusion Card Challenge this week I thought of these stamps and have now permanently removed them from the box.
I took inspiration for my card from the photo making coral color flowers, twiggy wreath and adding a little green.
So Happy you stopped by today :)

City Crafter Challenge - Polka Dots

Hi City Crafters!  This week Amy is our host for the challenge and she would like us to use polka dots on our projects and cards.  For my DT card I chose this cute dog stamp from Whipper Snapper; please stop by the blog to see what all the DT members have created for your inspiration :)

Thanks for stopping by today.  A cold and snowy day here in Colorado :)

Cute Little Fox

The little fox on my card is so cute; the fox is from an Ellen Hutson set called "Artic Pals".  I colored the fox, leaves and tree with my Zig markers and added a few little green, sparkly gems.  Because a white background would have been too stark I added a background of yellow striped paper on a green card base.

I am going to submit this card to this week's sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch, here's the sketch:

Happy you stopped by today and a sunny day it is here on the front range :)

CAS Colours & Sketches #259

The challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches this week is a sketch challenge. I enjoy sketch challenges, so got to work on my card above.

I mixed distress inks and water on white card stock then cut the strips behind my tag and the tag from the dry paper.  Sorry to say I don't know which stamp set the images are from as a fellow stamper sent them to me :)  The sentiment is from Newton's Nook.

Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today, have a cozy one :)

Twofer Card Challenge #2

I made the 2 cards above for a new challenge site: Twofer Card Challenge; this week's challenge is Hearts.  The focus of the challenge is to make 2 distinctly different cards using the same stamp.  I used a Santoro gojus girl on a horse stamp and a little heart stamp from Neat & Tangled for my cards.  If you look closely at the horses reins you'll see there are little hearts :)

Here's a close up of both cards:

A "happy Spring" card, using colors of spring and the little hearts as flowers

A "I Love You" card, using Love colors and the hearts as just that, hearts.

So happy you stopped by today and a sunny day it is here on the front range :)

City Crafter Challenge - Booksmart

Marina is our host this week at City Crafter and she has asked us to use books when making our project.  I made this card with stamps from Newton's Nook.  The kitty and the books are colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils and the border die is from MFT.

We would love to have you join us this week; please stop by the blog to see the wonderful cards our DT has made too :)
So happy you stopped by today :)

Pink makes anything fabulous!

Here's another of my favorite Rubbernecker stamp sets "splash party".  I didn't really realize until after I posted this card that it's not CAS, however I'm going to enter it into the challenge at CASe this Sketch because the image from the photo (see below) made me think the candles looked like these funny, skinny flamingo legs.

Thanks for stopping by, have a FABULOUS day!

Today is a perfect day to be a butterfly

This pretty butterfly is from Rubbernecker stamps "blush butterflies".  I have been so inspired by this set of pretty butterflies and sentiments.  When I saw the challenge at Casology this week, I knew this was the butterfly I would use for my card.

I used Prismacolor watercolor pencils to color the butterfly and a Stampin' Up embossing folder.  Today would be a perfect day to be a butterfly in the Springtime as we are having an ice and snow storm today on the front range.  brrrrr!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Thinking of you...

I just love smooching distress oxide inks for my backgrounds lately.  I cut the background sheet and the flower from the background paper I created.  The flower is a Memory Box die and the stitched background piece is from Mama Elephant.

I am entering my card into the Muse Card Club - the muse this week is a pretty card by Anita Bowden (see below).

I took inspiration from the butterfly and the pastel flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Have Your Cake and Eat It Too

I just love this die I bought yesterday on sale.  The original price was $19.99 and believe it or not I got it for $5.00.  It's called Joyous Celebration by Spellbinders.  Of course I came home and had to make a card with it immediately. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

I am going to add this card to the challenge at Always Fun Challenges which is "Anything Goes".

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Woof - Arf - Hello!

Ohhh, Oh, Oh - the minute I saw this stamp set "The Dog's Woof" from Mama Elephant I wanted it.  I'm a DOG LOVER, always have been and I just couldn't wait to put some ink and watercolor pencils to these cuties :)

I made this card for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp, anything goesl

So happy you stopped by today.  Get your Woof on :)

Go Wild!!

This card was made for the challenge at Case This Sketch, challenge 257.  When I saw the sketch image (below) I immediately thought of this brush stamp and elephant die from Penny Black.  I used Distress oxide inks to make my background and created the sentiment on my computer.

Thanks for stopping by today :)
