Sunday afternoons.....

Here's our little girl Pearl.  She decided a nice nap in the plant room was in-line on this warm, sunny Sunday in Sedalia.  Isn't she the cutest :)

Oh My, Another Christmas card.....

One of my favorite new stamps is the "Stand of Trees" stamp by Memory Box.  I have used this stamp for the main image on the card I created for the challenge over at the Just Us Girls challenge blog this week.  Here's the inspiration photo for the challenge:

And, here's my card:

I took my inspiration from the wooden cabin and the wonderful red windows and flower boxes.  Just love this time of year and all the Christmas cards and songs.

City Crafters 136 - I'll be home for Christmas

Isn't this the prettiest inspiration photo for the City Crafters Challenge Blog week 136 - I'll be home for Christmas challenge:
I was so taken with the white and subtle pink in the photo and knew right away the card I would make; here it is:

I used a new favorite of mine, Memory Box Dancing Lady die cut, MB yuletide patterned paper, pearls, liquid pearls, ribbon and a Great Impressions sentiment stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by today :)

Christmas cards are coming.....

I made my first Christmas card the other day; I know a little late you say, well I am always late starting my Christmas cards.  I don't know why this is, but I get side-tracked with other cards, work, home and things in general then I make a made rush to get my cards made in enough time to send out and arrive for the Holidays.  Anyway, here's my first Christmas card:

This die cut Frostyville border from Memory Box is just beautiful; the polar bear and the sentiment are also from Memory box.  I added some stickles and hills too.  I plan to make a lot of these cards with different color scarfs for the cute, little bear.

Falling for Trees

The trees of fall are so beautiful with all their pretty colors and the challenge at the City Crafter challenge blog this week is "Falling for Trees".  The photo below is the inspiration:

I used a new stamp from Memory Box called Stand of Trees for my card:

I colored the trees with watercolor pencils, added a few gems and some My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  Also added a twine bow and a MB thanks stamp.

Baby shower cards

I made the 2 following cards for a co-worker's baby shower.  I made 1 for me and 1 for my friend to give with our shower presents.  I am also entering the first card in the Nov/Dec challenge at the Die Cut Diva's Flickr group.

Both cards are made with cute stamps from Lawn Fawn.  I just love the cute smiley faces.  Stickles add the sparkle, ribbons and a gem or two too :)

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

The challenge at Case Study this week is to garner inspiration from this pretty card by Angeline Yong:

My card was inspired by the die cut on the right side of the card and the different panels going from top to bottom of Angeline's card.

Items used are Memory Box Yuletide paper and Dancing Ballerina die cut, a few red gems and that's it.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Color Challenge at Less is More

We have a color challenge at Less is More this week and the color is PINK.  I recently added this Memory Box Ballerina die to my collection and am so happy I did.  This is the first time I have used this die; here's my card:

The pearls on the ballerina's waist and hair are made with liquid pearls, just love using this as I can make the pearls any size needed for my cards.  Her dress is from a new MB holiday paper pack.  A touch of music notes and a little sentiment were added to complete the card.

Thinking of You - City Crafter

The challenge this week at the City Crafter blog is "3 & 1 = Cute", we are to use 3 patterned papers and 1 solid paper (cardstock).  I have had the Graphics 45 poppy paper on this card for some time, it's one of those papers it's been hard for me to part with.  Well, I did part with it and here's the card I created for this challenge:

The sentiment is from Hero Arts, green polka dot paper is Graphics 45, red polka dot paper is Bo Bunny.  I added a little twine and a tiny button too.
